Colorado Wranglers Update
Here’s the latest on the Colorado Wranglers.
Jay Butler, Bob Shee, and Mark Tuggle met Thursday night after the elder/pastor meeting and agreed upon a course of action with the Colorado Wranglers. Bob and Mark then met with the Wranglers on Friday afternoon. They are in complete agreement with our suggestions and plan. Bob will continue to work closely with them as they pursue it. Here is our plan:
1) Pulpit Rock Church is committed to partnering with the Colorado Wranglers to minister to this community.
2) For their sake and ours, they must make every reasonable effort to be at peace with the Flying W Ranch and Wolfe family before we enter our joint venture – not because of legal reasons, but biblical ones. To that end, they will continue in negotiations with the Flying W Ranch and Wolfe family in an effort to achieve the ends that the Wolfes would be sufficiently satisfied to dismiss their claim on the non-compete contract. While this may not happen, we all agreed there is more work/conversation/negotiation/prayer to be done to this end.
3) In the meantime, the Wranglers will begin booking a variety of Christmas shows both in Conifer and El Paso County, including a couple at PRC. This will allow the Wranglers to work and earn a living and give them more exposure in El Paso County. It also gives them some time over the next 4-6 weeks to keep the dialogue going with the Flying W Ranch and the Wolfes.
4) Once the Wranglers have exhausted their attempts at making peace with the Flying W Ranch and the Wolfes and the Christmas season has ended, we plan to enter into our joint venture agreement with the Colorado Wranglers to begin operations after the 1st of the year.
While these additional efforts may seem pointless or useless, let’s pray that God would use them to work a miracle. He has already worked some small miracles through the patient, godly efforts at reconciliation to this point.
