Missions Update: March
Here is the latest news from our March 6, 2007 International Ministries Team Meeting.
Pastor Steve Aldrich’s Trip to the Ukraine
Steve also went to L’viv, Ukraine to visit PRC missionaries Tim and Heather Miller. Tim asked Steve to speak to a group of believers that he is training. Tim has seen a lot of fruit in his ministry. He would like to start a baseball ministry but needs bats and gloves.
Future Trips
Steve will be going to Manila April 2-16 to train Filipinos to go cross culturally. Pray for him concerning the food. They eat lots of fish which Steve is not that fond of.
In May Steve will be going to South Korea to do training with the Onnuri Church, which has 55,000 members, at their World Mission Center.
Boquillas Trip
Sunday, March 18, there will be a commissioning for those going this year. There will be 3 nights of VBS and a youth rally that our youth are planning. The team would like to see the children’s ministry continue. The woman who was doing it has gotten married and moved away. They are bringing some materials and want to train leaders to continue teaching the children. Something to be praying about is that Donato and Sheryl are considering whether they should stay there long term.
Morocco Trip
This Sunday there will be an information meeting on a trip to Morocco with GEM. Jay Butler, who is chair of the elder board, will be taking another team like the one Keith Bogue went on to teach English as a foreign language. This will be a three week trip in October. Steve will be going on that trip. Anyone is welcome to join.
