Missions Update
Here’s the latest from our International Ministries Team (IMT):
The IMT Fair will be January 27/28 and February 3/4 in The Gathering Place.
We are looking forward to having the India Children’s Choir in the January 28 church services. They are sponsored by Bibles for the World. Dr. Pudaite, the founder, is from the Hmar tribal people in Northeast India. He came to faith as a young boy. The Hmar people are 90% evangelical much like the Pham tribe that the Mintons work with. After Dr. Pudaite and his wife came to the States they founded Bibles for the World in 1959 with the goal - “For Every House a Bible“.
Kathy Lannon with Global Mapping challenged us to learn how to reach out to Muslims since there are 6 million of them in the US. One third of these are US citizens who have converted. The “Encountering the World of Islam” class will take place at First Presbyerian Chuch downtown from January 22 to April 16 from 6:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. The cost is $289. The first night is free if you want to check it out.
Missions Pastor Steve Aldrich goes to Kiev February 16 and will visit PRC missionaries Tim and Heather Miller while he is there. The local church recently ordained Tim Miller, which is a huge blessing and honor for him.
