Special Preschool Worship Day

What a great year this is shaping up to be, and now its Christmas time! How fun is that? What a great time to share Jesus with our preschoolers. We have a special worship time planned for Sunday, December 31 that you and your preschooler can help us prepare for at home.

Prechool Ministry Worship Leader Ben Kelly is planning on doing the little drummer boy on December 31, the Sunday after Christmas. The kids loved it last year, so we're doing it again!

The story is so simple that the kids can get it, and it applies to us all. When we compare ourselves to the King of Kings, we are all like that poor, orphaned, drummer boy. What a great story.

So here's how you can help us prepare!
We need drums. Coffee can drums, Oatmeal canister drums, cookie tin drums. If there is any question as to whether it will work, just bang on it once or twice. If it makes a good sound, we want it.

You and your preschooler can decorate the drum with wrapping paper, aluminum foil, ribbons, paint, glue and glitter or anything else that will dress it up a bit. Please no drum sticks though, they are too much like a sword in the hands of an adventurous preschool boy.

We will require about 60 drums for each of the kids to be able to take one home.

Take your completed drums to the Preschool worship room on any weekend until December 31. Your artistic and crafty creations will help communicate a real truth to our preschoolers about the love of Jesus. Thank you!
