The International Ministries Team (IMT) exists to help cultivate in Christians God's heart for the unreached people of the world (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; 1 Thessalonians 1:6-8). To that end, those who attend Pulpit Rock Church are encouraged to become "world" Christians by getting involved in cross-cultural missions. The Pulpit Rock missions program is directed by the pastor of missions, Steve Aldrich.
What is the International Ministries Team?
Monthly IMT Meetings
First Tuesday of each month
7:00 - 9:00 p.m., room 203
The IMT is a volunteer ministry of PRC. Decisions about vision, ministry and financial support are made by the IMT under the leadership of the Missions Pastor.
Strategy
The missions strategy emphasizes evangelism, disciple making, church planting, leadership and training of nationals. A primary ministry focus is the Fulani, an unreached people within the so-called "10/40 window" in southwestern Africa.
Missionary Family
The PRC missionary family represents a wide variety of missions experience, including several who are members of the congregation.
PRC-supported missionaries receive monthly support, which usually represents only a portion of their total financial support package. Missions are funded by the Missions and Unified Church budgets. We support 60 missionaries in addition to those we commend for short-term missions.
Missions Education
The IMT is committed to assisting with continuing missions education of every world Christian. This is accomplished by:
- Monthly IMT updates
- Annual outreach fair
- Prayer directory
- IMT Center & Exhibits
Short Term Missions
We believe that Christians exposed to cross-cultural ministry through short-term missions experience (two weeks, two months, two years), are better equipped to share the Good News with others locally as well as internationally. Therefore, our goal is to involve five percent of our congregation in short-term ministry each year.

Pastoral Care
We are committed to meeting the social, physical and spiritual needs of our PRC-supported missionaries.
- Local housing, transportation and meals are provided.
- Personal connections are kept up through small groups and PRC's mid-sized communities.
- We recognize service anniversaries and ministry accomplishments.
- At Christmas, every missionary family receives a financial gift to spend on themselves.
- We make field visits.
How You Can
Get Involved
Missions is at the heart of God's plan for the world. At Pulpit Rock, we encourage everyone to become world Christians by:
PRAYING: Every Pulpit Rock missionary has some regular prayer partners within the congregation -- individuals who have committed themselves to praying for and encouraging specific missionaries. Download a free "Guide to Praying for a Missionary" below:

GIVING: We encourage every PRC member to give to the unified church budget. In addition to regular tithing, many people give designated gifts to PRC-supported projects.
You can give automatically through electronic funds transfer by filling out an EFT Form. More details
GOING: Each year, five percent of PRC members -- couples, families with kids, singles, retirees, teens, cadets -- become short-term missionaries. There are missions opportunities for everyone.
BEING INFORMED: We encourage everyone to keep informed by reading missionary prayer letters, listening to IMT reports, participating in events, and attending national events like Urbana or ACMC.
SERVING: Hosting a missionary, providing meals or transportation, and helping set up for major IMT events are all great serving opportunities. There are many other helpful and practical ways to serve across the street and around the world. Just ask us about it!
