May 6 – Philip Tells a Prince about Jesus
Building on Last Week: The Lord used Ananias and Philip in the conversion of Saul and the Ethiopian. You, too, have the great privilege of introducing your children to the Lord through His Word.
Story Scripture: Acts 8:5-6, 26-38
Bible Verse: “Jesus is the Son of God.” 1 John 4:15
At Home Ideas:
Crowns, Crowns
You can make a crown snack for your child. Take a piece of bread and cut into shape of a crown. Dab a different color of jam on each point to look like jewels.
You can also create a crown from construction paper and decorate it with markers, and stick on jewelry.
Partner Races
Philip and the prince became partners as Philip helped the prince learn about Jesus. You can do a partner race with your child (or two children together) to remind them of how these two men shared God’s Word together.
Have pairs link arms and do a race-walk to a set point and back. Next have them walk down back-to-back. Then they can link arms and walk backward as a pair. Add other variations of your own choosing.
