September 30/October 1–We Recall God’s Care--Review
Building on Last Week: Your children will enjoy remembering God’s marvelous care for Moses, Elijah, the widow and Joash.
Story Scripture: Review of Lessons 1-4
Bible Verse: “He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
At Home Ideas:
Lilies
You will need: paper coffee filter; craft stick; tape
Each lily uses one coffee filter and one craft stick. Show your child how to fold the filter in half, then into thirds, folding in each side. Help them tape the point of the flower to hold its shape before taping the lily onto the craft stick. You may want to write the Bible verse on the stick also. 1 Peter 5:7
Thankful Chain
You will need: construction paper; marker; stapler
Ask your child to help think of ways that God cares for us. Using a marker write down the ideas that your child has come up with. Staple the ends together of the first idea loop. Then thread the next one through the first loop and staple and continue until all loops are completed. Hang somewhere in your home that will help your child remember how God cares for us.
