August 26/27—Obeying God’s Word
Building on Last Week: This will be a great opportunity to help your children remember how Samuel, Abigail, David and Nehemiah obeyed God.
Story Scripture: Review of Lessons 9-12
Bible Verse: “We must obey God.” Acts 5:29
At Home Ideas:
Plant Seeds of Kindness
Make a plant marker to help your child remember kindness.
You will need a large craft stick, green and red craft foam sheets, 2 thin black wires and a permanent marker.
Cut out a leaf shape from the green foam and an oval from the red foam to look like a ladybug. Glue the leaf onto your craft stick. Then decorate your ladybug using the marker by putting dots on the bug and a head. Attach the wires for antennae, and then glue your ladybug onto the leaf. Write on the leaf “Plant seeds of kindness”. Place in a planter for your child to enjoy.
Music Time
Sing some of your child’s favorite songs. This too is a wonderful way to praise and worship God! Music is a good way for your child to remember stories they’ve heard from the Bible.
