July 15/16 –A Short Man Sees Jesus
Building on Last Week: Last week your child saw that the Lord saves all sinners who turn to Him in faith. This week they’ll continue to see this truth in the life of someone they can relate to –a short man named Zacchaeus.

Short and Tall
Your child may not understand that there can be pros and cons to either of these or many other situations too. Play a game to help your child see that it can be difficult sometimes if you are shorter or taller. Make situations that will enforce the idea. But, Jesus saw Zacchaeus and wanted to be his friend just like he wants to be our friend.
If Jesus Came to Dinner
Invite someone over for lunch or dinner (or even just for a snack). Make it someone your child will love to see, such as their best friend, a neighbor, and aunt, etc. Then have your child help you decide on the menu and how you will make everything special for this guest. Your child can help set a table, make food, clean up the house or make special invitations. Be creative!
