April 29/30 – Abraham is Kind to Lot

Building on Last Week: Our love for our living, ascended Lord compels us to show love and kindness to others.

Story Scripture: Genesis 13:2, 5-12

Bible Verse: “Be kind and compassionate to one another.” Ephesians 4:32

At Home Ideas:

Does it Belong?
Give your child a bag full of different items. Help your child sort items by similarities. Let your child tell you why they are sorting things the way they are. Explain the story to your child. Abraham and Lot had to divide the items, too. You could also let your child divide a snack for two (or more) kids and help them decide the best (and kindest) way to do that.

Flower Kindness Poster
Make a kindness poster using pictures that show people doing kind acts. Make construction paper flowers first. On the back of each one, place a kindness picture. Then on a large piece of paper tape each daisy so that when the flower is lifted (like a peek-a-boo) the picture is upright. Let your child explain each picture and what the kindness is in it.
