April 22/23 –Jesus Goes Back to Heaven

I Love Jesus Book
You can make a book by using construction paper and pictures from old Christmas and Easter cards and nature magazines. As you child suggests reasons they love Jesus, prepare one page for each reason. For instance, write, “He loves children” on a sheet of paper then glue on a picture of Jesus and the children. Punch holes and tie the pages together with yarn.
Home
To explain “home” and “going home” you may want to try this project. Show pictures of different animals and the type of home they live in. Help your child name the animal and the name of the type of home it lives in. End with pictures of Jesus in heaven—this is where all followers “go home”.
