Health & Safety
Ministry Partners and paid staff provide a consistently safe and loving environment with close attention paid to your child’s unique needs.
To ensure your child's health and safety:
- Each paid staff member and caregiver wears a photo ID name tag, and has cleared a criminal background and reference check.
- A minimum of two caregivers oversee each nursery room. At least one of those caregivers is a paid staff member.
- Members of the nursery staff are CPR-certified and trained in First Aid.
- A numbered name tag system assures that only an authorized person may pick up a child.
- The diaper-changing area is sanitized after each use, as are linens, toys and equipment.
Caregivers cannot accept a child who exhibits any of the following symptoms:
- fever
- undefined rash
- vomiting
- persistent cough
- colored eye, nose or ear discharge
- an active childhood disease
Should your child develop symptoms while in the nursery area, you will be asked to take him or her out of the nursery.
Medications
Absolutely NO medication will be administered by nursery staff. Parents may return to the nursery to give medication as necessary. If your child has been ill, we ask that he/she be symptom-free for at least 24 hours before attending the nursery.
If your child is being treated with antibiotics, he/she should be on medication for a minimum of 48 hours before coming to the nursery.
