Socks for Tots is a sock drive in cooperation with Crossfire Ministries, LifeNetwork, and the Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center to benefit young children. The kids in our 2-year old class are starting to learn how God loves people and how He wants us to do the same.
Did you know that right after Christmas, food donations generally decline? Let's help build up those food stores for the needy in our own community! We invite anyone from PRC to help us reach those in need.
The preschool is hosting a Preschool Outreach Event to benefit Northern Churches Care on Saturday, November 17 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in room 203. We held the same event last year and about 20 preschoolers and their parents attended. It was a great success!
Offering money that has been collected by the preshoolers over the last six months or so will be used to purchase supplies to create "Kid Packets.” Often, while the parents are waiting to receive services at the NCC office, their children have to wait 2-3 hours with very little to keep them occupied. The "Kid Packets" will contain a coloring book, crayons, stickers, a toy, snack, and drink. They will be handed out as needed to children at the NCC office.
This is a simple but meaningful outreach activity that a preschool-age child can do and understand. There is no need to RSVP. Just stop by for the short time, and we will give instructions there. A snack will be available for the kids following the project.
We had over 100 visitors and 50 of these did not indicate that they go to a church or said they don’t go to church! If you had your picture taken at the photo center, be sure to stop by the church office to pick it up.
In January, Kids Clubhouse kids learned how God has called all of His children, from Abraham all the way to school-age kids today, to be his agents in the world. God blesses "us" so that we will pass on the blessing to the nations so the nations will praise God (see Psalm 67:2-3,Genesis 12:2-3).
We would like to encourage your children to see themselves as a part of that cycle, especially when they have the chance to travel to another nation on a mission trip. Please let us know if your family is taking part in a mission trip this summer (even if you've already gone), so that we may highlight your child and family in his/her classroom with a "secret agent update". Contact Jim and Peggy McGee with your details anytime this summer (the sooner, the better).
The Socks for Tots program was extremely successful. We collected 173 socks for needy children. Thank you to all who donated and to the Tuesday morning preschoolers who lovingly wrapped each package!

The Nursery at Pulpit Rock Church is sponsoring a sock drive to benefit young children in our community. Socks for Tots is a simple outreach that allows us to share Jesus in a practical child-sized way. Families are invited to bring a new pair of child-sized socks by Sunday, February 11.
Socks will be wrapped by the children during Tuesday morning Women’s Bible Study and given to Life Network and Crossfire Ministries to be distributed to children in need.
Last year, 193 pairs of socks were collected!
