A few months after we started attending Pulpit Rock Church, my husband and I decided to dedicate our son, Luke. He was eight months old, so we figured it was time. He was somewhat good natured, wriggling in our arms as Pastor Bonnie talked about how special he was to us and to his Father in heaven. She read the verse we had selected for him, Matthew 5:14, “You are the light of the world.” We chose it because Luke’s name means light and we wished that some day he would be a light for God. Scott, the worship pastor, prayed over our family as grandparents took pictures, aunts and uncles looked on, and our daughter Bethany looked up, holding the rose Bonnie brought for us for the occasion.

Have a blast at the Annual Children's Harvest Party when we open the doors of our church to a building-wide games extravaganza on Friday, October 26 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. It's a safe, indoor, family event for kids of all ages.
Admission: 1 bag of candy per family
Game Tickets: 10 for $1.00 (also available at the party)

Attention elementary kids and parents! Hangin’ With My Friends, Summer Sports/Art Camp '07 is coming Monday, June 25 through Thursday, June 28 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Pulpit Rock Church.
Kids grades K through 5 (as of May '07) are invited to come join the fun this summer for a 4-day evening camp and learn a sport, art, or music!

Please join us for our next all-church Family Meal and Meeting Sunday, April 29 at 5:00 p.m. in the West Campus. We are asking each family to bring a main dish, and those with last names ending in A-M are asked to bring a dessert, while N-Z bring either a salad or a vegetable.

Mark your calendars now for the Mother Daughter Tea to be held at the Garden of the Gods Club on Saturday, May 5 from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. Enjoy a memorable afternoon of inspiration and bonding for mothers and daughters. Craft time includes daughters making beaded, matching bracelets for themselves and their mothers. Cost by age: 3-6 years/$6.00; 6-12 years/$12.00; Adults $15.00.
A royal ball will be given for all children of the King who have been born into God’s royal family during the year 2006! How precious it is to witness your child accepting Christ as his Savior! No other accomplishment in his lifetime will supersede this one time event.
In Children’s Ministry, we would like to recognize those children who have made a commitment to follow Christ sometime during 2006. Pastor Bonnie Aldrich will reveal “what it all means now.”
Our Salvation Celebration will be held Saturday, January 20, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. in room 115. This event is for children ages preschool through 5th grade and their parents. Children are encouraged to come dressed in royal attire.
