Join us for Pizza Night December 5. It's new and improved and under new management! Now your money goes further with different pizza choices and also includes cookies and juice. Cost is $3 for adults and $2 for kids. Please let Caitlin know by Wednesday morning so they will be sure to have enough for everyone.
No club December 19, 26, 2007 or January 2, 2008.
The next pizza night is this Wednesday, November 7. Cost is $3 for adults and $2 for kids, please ask people RSVP to Caitlin Garrett at 598-6767 x. 324.
Box car and Drive in night is November 14. Kids (with parents' help) will make a car out of a box to sit in to watch a movie. This year kids will vote on the cars for three categories:
• most lifelike (usually LOTS of parent help)
• best Awana representation
• and best do-it-yourself (little parent help)
For the past couple of years some kids have been really upset because the winners' were obviously made mostly by parents, but we also don't want to take away this bonding experience if it's something parents do to spend time with their kids.
We have no club on November 21 for Thanksgiving.
Can you believe it? Our Awana year has come to a close. Now comes the really fun part--the Awards! AWANA awards ceremonies are as follows:
Cubbies: May 16, 2007 (parents and clubbers begin in regular rooms)
Sparks & TnT: May 23, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. in the new building. Parking in the west parking lot, cookie reception will follow.
Parents, come and bring your cameras. This is a proud time for your kids!
Our AWANA club has “adopted” an AWANA club in the Philippines. This club needs our support in order to provide books, uniforms and Christian instruction to needy children. During the month of March, the children will have the opportunity to help support this club by giving financially to the Adopt-a-Club Fund. Clubbers can also donate their own AWANA shares toward Adopt-a-club. Our club will match their AWANA dollars with actual cash
It’s not too late to check out Awana! Club time is Wednesday evening from 6:20 – 8:10 p.m. at Pulpit Rock Church. This week we will have a special Valentine Council Time and explore True Love. God loves us more than we can even imagine!
And there is still room for you! It’s not too late for children age 3 (and potty-trained) through 5th grade to join us. Activities are numerous, with children racing during game time, quoting Scripture and learning more about how to live a life that pleases the Lord. Salvation and outreach are emphasized. Scripture memory is a requirement. Fun is guaranteed!
