Awana Dues & Other Expenses
Awana is largely subsidized by dues paid by each family. These dues are used to purchase handbooks, awards and Awana store supplies.
- 1st child, $40.00
- 2nd child, $30.00
- 3rd child, $20.00
- Additional children, $6.00 each (handbook)
Dues include the purchase of ONE book per club year. Additionally, each clubber is responsible for his or her vest or uniform and second book. Uniform prices range from $8.00 to $12.50. Scholarships are available. Contact Caitlyn Garrett.
Can parents get involved in Awana?
As a part of the Parent Driven Church Supported Children’s Ministry of Pulpit Rock Church, Awana highly encourages parents to be actively involved with their clubbers in the Awana program. Please contact an Awana Commander to find out how you can help.
Inclement Weather Procedure
If Colorado Springs Christian School closes for the day, Awana will automatically be cancelled. If the weather is bad in the morning, please listen to the radio or watch TV to find out if CSCS is closed for the day.
If CSCS does not close for the day and the weather is questionable, staff directors and/or pastors will discuss whether or not Awana should be cancelled due to possible dangerous road conditions. A decision will be made by 3:15 p.m.
The Awana Commander and Directors will strive to contact all Awana Leaders by 5:00 p.m. to inform them of the cancellation.
If a very late afternoon storm occurs, we will need to make a last minute decision and contact everyone ASAP.
What you can do to stay informed:
Call the church office
A message will be placed on the church office voice mail (598-6767) by 4:00 p.m. indicating that Awana is cancelled for the evening.
Listen to the radio
The Awana Commander will contact radio stations KTLF and KBIQ to inform them of the cancellation.
Check the church website
The PRC Weblog will announce any cancellations due to inclement weather.
Dropping off
and picking up:
For safety reasons, drivers of Cubbies and Sparks need to park their vehicles and escort their clubbers to their rooms. We recommend that Cubbies use the East doors and Sparks use the North or West doors since these are closest to their rooms.
Parents with T&T Clubbers may drop their children off at the West entrance. The parents/guardians of Cubbies and Sparks need to pick up their children from their rooms or provide written permission for someone else (sibling or other adult) to pick them up from their room.
Awana Missionaries
Chad & Karen Smith | www.awana4kids.org
Awana missionaries' mission is to introduce the ministry of Awana to the local churches, equipping them to reach their community and the world with the gospel of grace. All Awana missionaries are faith-supported missionaries, completely dependent on the gifts of God’s people in the area they serve for their living needs and work funds.
