We’ve all watched with sorrow as the news about the earthquake in Nepal have scrolled past our news feed. In times like this it is easy to feel powerless and to wonder where God is. I wanted to encourage you with words that Thomas often uses: “look for God in the recovery.” God’s people are, even now, mobilizing to bring hope and relief to the victims of this earthquake.

Pulpit Rock has an ongoing partnership with Gil and Karen Nash who are familiar with the region and coordinating some relief efforts. If God has moved your heart for the people of Nepal, let me encourage you to do 2 things:

  1. Read this report from One Challenge international where Gill shares about what is happening and how you can help.
  2. Pray! You can get more info about Nepal at the PrayerCast site we used to guide our month of prayer for the world last fall.

Please join us in praying and helping.

Psalm 34:18 – The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
