Tips for High Impact Recruitment Messages
If you would like to improve the effectiveness of your recruiting message, whether it is in the bulletin, another published ad location or a spoken recruiting effort, you will have more success if you check your message against the following 10 questions before going public.
- Is my message communicating to the intended audience?
- Am I thinking like the "fish" I am trying to catch?
- Does the message communicate the benefits, values, and assets of the ministry?
- Does the message adequately anticipate the fears, doubts, and objections of prospects?
- Is this a compelling ministry message or just an announcement?
- Is it truthful? Or is it a bait and switch?
- Does it invite people to consider a ministry opportunity?
- Does it communicate that safe exploration is possible?
- Does the message tell the prospect what to do next?
- Does the message address the specific step the prospect can take right now?
