Many of our regular attenders have asked us to provide an electronic funds transfer (EFT) service. We are pleased to announce that we are able to provide that service to you. This optional service allows you to authorize Pulpit Rock Church to deduct your monthly gifts automatically from your checking or savings account. You can save yourself time and money and help Pulpit Rock achieve better stewardship by saving us time and processing costs. Frequently Asked Questions Q. Turning control of my money over to a bank and an electronic network makes me feel uncomfortable.
A. You are not turning over control. Banks, automatic teller machines, computers and those who operate those tools carry out only what you instruct them to do. You always remain in control. Q. Is there a benefit to me?
A. Yes! It’s very convenient. You will no longer need to write a monthly check, and you save on postage and check printing costs. It’s all done automatically on the 5th and/or the 20th of each month.
Q. Can I designate my monthly giving to go towards different ministries or projects?
A. Yes, by filling out the form, you can specify where your gift will be applied. (e.g. General offering, Faith Adventure, Emergency Assistance, Missions, etc.)
Q. Can I make two transfers per month instead of one?
A. Yes, just check both dates on the form. You may also specify different amounts for each date. Q. How do I get started on the EFT program?
A. Simply fill out the form and mail it with a voided check to the church with "ATTEN: Accounting" on the front of the envelope. Once we receive all your information, we will contact your bank and arrange a monthly transfer on the date you have designated of the amount you instruct towards support of the church. After that, it will happen exactly as you requested. Your bank statements will show the date and amount of transfer each month. Q. What will this cost?
A. Nothing! A great majority of banks, savings/loans, and credit unions are glad to cooperate with you at no extra charge. Q. I prefer not to get myself locked into a long-term commitment, especially with the bank. Can I end the transfer or make changes whenever I like?
A. Absolutely. A short phone call to the church will stop or change the amount of your gift. You may send a note to our Accounting Team (contact details below) to increase your gift and/or add new programs or projects. Q. Who do I contact if I have questions or concerns?
