Watermelon Anyone?
Ahhhh....summer! Are you all working on your suntans? Catching any fish? Enjoying BBQ chicken on the grill? How about a slice of watermelon? I love these afternoon rain showers also. I think Colorado Springs is as green as I've ever seen it. This is good news to us mountain dwellers since we don't want any wild fires. I know you probably have summer vacations and camping trips scheduled so we'll take a bit of a break from full team for a few weeks. We'll get going again after Labor Day.
Father's Day is June 17th. I know I made a big deal out of Mother's Day so I want to give fair acknowledgement to you fathers. I haven't been able to send a Father's Day card to anyone since I was a little girl. My dad died when I was 11, but that makes me even more grateful for the father of my children. It's been a joy to watch Ed be the father that I wished for. Thank you so much to all you dads for the time you take to love and train your children. We couldn't be mothers without you!!
PRAY FOR SCOTT!
As you know, Scott is on the pastoral search team and they have been deeply pursuing God's will regarding the direction of our church family in regards to a pastor. Continue to pray as they seek the Lord regarding the next decision. I know we are grateful that God has placed Scott on this team and we should be praying for him as God uses his gift of wisdom.
