Worship Arts Community Notes

Welcome!! Autumn is a great time of year....usually a time for new beginnings like school and such...and so we are beginning...a little late, but definitely beginning. As you may know...I, Dena, am Scott's new assistant. Since Scott and I have worked together for 16 years in some capacity, we decided it was time to make it formal. There's a really cool story of God's direction behind this new assignment. It was clearly from the Lord that I do this at this time and I'm thrilled to be working along side Scott.

This web site is the creative genius of John Skiba. We wanted to provide a way for people to feel connected with one another in between the times we actually see each other face to face. It will be up to you to check this site periodically to get the latest news. I will be updating it about every two weeks.

So...what will be on this site?

Schedules: These will be divided between the vocal teams,( including 605 and Tribe), the bands and the technical crew. There will be a specific link where you can check the calendar every quarter and find all the information that you need. It will tell you the time, the place and duration of the rehearsal and any other pertinent information. Check again in a week and we should have this for you through December.

Did you know?..."He Knows My Name", by Tommy Walker, was a song he wrote to accompany a message that his pastor was giving. He wrote the song out of sheer discipline and felt that it was so simple that it would probably work best in kid's church. When he introduced it to his church...nothing really happened. Then it was used at a women's retreat and God moved mightily. "A sense of the love of God entered the room in such a powerful way that many of them were weeping and experiencing all kinds of inner healing." Tommy decided to give it another try the following weekend and people began to weep...including him. "He Knows My Name" became a regular at his church and has spread all around the world with its simple message of love, acceptance and intimacy.

    I have a Maker
    He formed my heart
    Before even time began
My life was in His hands
    He knows my name
    He knows my every thought
He sees each tear that falls and hears me when I call
